Sunflower Duo
Alla Melnychuk is a concert pianist from Ukraine. She graduated from Kharkiv National University of Arts. An experienced concert pianist, she moved to Canada to St. John's NL in May 2022.
Maria Cherwick is a violinist and fiddler based in St. Johns NL. She performs and tours internationally with a number of groups, playing Ukrainian traditional, classical, folk and bluegrass music.
Sunflower Duo is an international duo, formed in the fall of 2022, Maria and Alla have already performed multiple times in St. John's over the past several months. They perform Ukrainian classical and folk music, and enjoy sharing this music with new audiences in Newfoundland.
