It’s that time of year once again, the planning for our Annual Auction and Garden Party, our 17th, please remember that it will be held on Friday, August 18th starting at 2:30 pm. (please take note of the start time). It will take place at the Trinity Museum Garden, located on Church Road, with our auctioneer being Mr. Chris O’Dea of O’Dea’s Auction & Realty Room.
At this time we are seeking donations for the event. Items can include antiques, works of art and prints; books, furniture; accommodation and other gift certificates; pottery; jewellery; collectors items; heritage plants from your garden; handcrafted items (wood, art, knitwear, quilts, hooked items etc); food items (fresh baked goodies; jams; preserves; cold pack items) something funny and unique...we will accept any and all items to auction off.
The possibilities of what your contributed auction item(s) may be are endless and we ask that you put on your thinking caps to come up with something that may be unique.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can drop items off to me at the Lester-Garland House by Monday August 14th or please notify me of what your item(s) may be in order for me to get a better idea of what we will have for the event. Please remember your contributions to our event helps us raise the necessary funds to allow the Society to continue to operate. We can also possibly arrange for pick-up of any items in the Clarenville to Bonavista region; some parts of St. John’s and would ask those that may be donating gift certificates to please mail them to us at the following address: P.O. Funds that are raised assist with funding the annual costs that are associated with the operation of our Historic Sites that are owned and operated by the Society as well as for the development and offering of our educational programming which is offered throughout the year. Whether that be demonstrations at the Cooperage, Forge or Museum; programming that includes Lunch and Learns during the Fall/Winter; School programming and much, much more that takes place over the course of the year.
To recognize all of our donors and partners we provide recognition in our auction program and a thank you letter after the event.

With your support our auction will continue to be the success that it has been in previous years, since 2001 we have fundraised almost $180,000.00. Please help us make this another successful year.
